What type of work is most readily available in Jacksonville, Florida?
Ill be moving there soon, and i will be by University Boulevard, South. Probably taking busses and things. New to FLorida, seeking a job and all. 28 years old. Anything I should know? Other - United States - 1 Answers

Shipyard work is picking up at Jaxport, but getting there without a car can be problematical. There are lots of employers around the Baymeadows Way and Southpoint area which isn't that far from University. However, depending on just where you are on Uni, you may find yourself traveling all the way to the central bus terminal downtown to change busses and then ride all the way back out - Jax has a so-so bus network which isn't really transfer-friendly.
