What are the best places to work for in Jacksonville Florida?
I am going to move to Jacksonville, but before I do I need a job lined up. What are some of the best companies to work for there? What is the best way of searching for a job located there? What is the general pay rate? Keeping in mind I live in CA and am now getting paid $13.50. And would like to stay at that rate or go up. Other - US Local Businesses - 1 Answers

These are great sites....These aren't crap because these sites are EXCLUSIVELY for Jacksonville. I'm not saying that these are the best companies to work for but these are large companies in Jacksonville. Here are a couple 1. Wal-mart 2. Florida Times-Union (newspaper) www.jacksonville.com 3. City of Jacksonville www.coj.net 4. Maxwell House (coffee) 5. Publix These companies are based in Jacksonville or have distributing warehouses. 1. Pilot Pens 2. Stein-Mart 3. Winn-Dixie 4. Budweiser More questions? E-mail me by clicking on my profile, or dragon32210@yahoo.com

Hello, I’m a resident of Jacksonville, and based on my own job hunting experiences I can say that the job market is flat. Companies still interview for potential clients, but there is a little to no chance of getting the job. Sorry that I can not tell you what specific companies are hiring, but it all depends on your preference: Healthcare is in demand, but due to budget cuts the demand for teachers have declined. I don’t want to discourage you, but I do hope that I answered your question.
